APPROVAL OF COLLEGATO LAVORO: CONCILIATION TO LABOUR CONSULTANTS

The Collegato Lavoro is now a law! Today’s meeting of the Chamber of Representatives definitively approved DDL 1441 - Quater F which introduces new rules concerning work. Deflation of the labour cases, a new role for the certification committees for employment contracts and arbitration and conciliation in labour disputes: these are the legal innovations that confirm the fundamental role of labour consultants in the work environment.

"This is a very important day for the judicial system because at last there is a solution to the near paralysis in disputes regarding work. Labour Consultants are ready to play their part in the deflation process of the disputes – states Marina Calderone, president of the National Council of the Order of Labour Consultants-.Certification, conciliation and arbitration are essential to guaranteeing precise rules for the protection of businesses and workers. And in this respect, Labour Consultants, along with the competent authorities, are called to provide their professional skills in the observance of the code of ethics and, especially, guaranteeing their role of third party which characterizes the professional activity of a Trade in continuous evolution. It is now necessary to organize a technical table among the main characters in the work environment to establish the guidelines for those who will serve as arbitrators; these guidelines will be delivered to the work Minister as the working document for the implementation of the rules ".

For a in-depth analysis of all the new items contained in the text of the Collegato Lavoro, a Special Forum Collegato Lavoro is being organized in collaboration with the Work Ministry and il Sole 24 Ore. The event will be held on the morning of November 17 and it will involve Provincial Councils connected via satellite with the Rome office.
